At Think & Act differently e.V., transparency, personal commitment, and the responsible use of donations are at the heart of everything we do.
100 % Volunteer-driven: Our board members, volunteers, and supporters contribute their time and expertise entirely on a voluntary basis because they believe in our mission. No member receives financial compensation from the association's funds.
Strong Local Partnerships: We develop our projects in Africa—currently with a focus on Cameroon and Togo—in close cooperation with trusted local partners. Because we know our partners personally, we build relationships based on trust, mutual respect, and shared responsibility. This enables us to implement projects that create sustainable, long-term impact.
Full Accountability: From our headquarters in Germany, we carefully oversee the responsible use of every donated euro. For additional accountability, two board members jointly represent the association, ensuring sound governance, mutual oversight, and transparent decision-making.
Transparenz for our donors: We regularly keep our donors and supporters informed about the progress of our projects—whether in infrastructure, education, or humanitarian assistance.
Help that makes a difference: Whether providing school supplies for children or emergency relief after natural disasters, we ensure that every donation directly supports our charitable mission and reaches those who need it most.
How we create impact
Clean drinking water: Construction, rehabilitation, and maintenance of wells and water supply systems to ensure reliable access to safe drinking water.
Education & vocational training: Building and renovating classrooms while equipping schools and vocational training centers with learning materials and essential tools.
Sustainable energy: Installing solar energy systems for schools and healthcare facilities to provide reliable, environmentally friendly electricity.
Healthcare: Establishing basic healthcare facilities and organizing awareness campaigns to promote disease prevention and community health.
Emergency relief: Providing immediate assistance to people affected by crises, including food, clothing, and other essential supplies following natural disasters.
Building bridges: Organizing intercultural seminars and educational events that promote mutual understanding, respect, and global cooperation.
How we achieve our mission
Local partnerships: Building long-term relationships with trusted local partners across Africa to ensure that projects respond to real community needs and remain sustainable.
Project-based fundraising: Raising donations, grants, and other funding—both nationally and internationally—to finance clearly defined projects such as well construction or school renovations.
Knowledge transfer & training: Organizing workshops and training programs that strengthen local expertise in areas such as renewable energy, technical maintenance, and healthcare.
Providing Essential Resources: Procuring and distributing educational materials, equipment, and other essential resources needed for sustainable development projects.
Intercultural Education: Hosting information events in Germany to increase awareness of everyday life in Africa and to promote intercultural dialogue, tolerance, and global solidarity.
Strengthening Existing Initiatives: Supporting other charitable organizations financially or through expertise where collaboration creates greater impact and long-term value.
