Our Story
When a spark becomes a flame!
„Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.“
Everything began with a simple yet unstoppable vision shared by our founder, Joël Tchouandong. He witnessed not only the immense challenges facing Cameroon but also its untapped potential. He understood that lasting impact cannot be achieved alone—it is only possible when people unite around a common purpose.
A Beginning against all odds
In 2021, while the world came to a standstill during the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing became the norm, Joël chose a different path. Instead of keeping his distance, he sought to bring people together.
He reached out to individuals who shared a passion for Africa and the courage to think and act differently. In the midst of uncertainty and isolation, our association was born.
The years that followed tested us all. No sooner had the pandemic begun to ease than the war in Ukraine shook the global economy in 2022. Costs increased, uncertainty grew, and many organizations hesitated.
Our eight founding members did not.
The Years of quiet strength (2021–2025)
Although our association remained largely behind the scenes during these years, we were laying the foundation for everything we are today.
While the world was navigating one crisis after another, we remained committed to our mission. We proved that our statutes are far more than words on paper—they are a promise put into action.
Despite our limited resources, we achieved meaningful results:
Breaking the cycle through education: We financed school supplies for children of incarcerated parents, helping them build a future through education.
Rapid support in times of crisis: When devastating floods struck northern Cameroon, we responded quickly, providing assistance where help for self-help was needed most.
These years were never a period of inactivity—they were our years of growth. They taught us how to create the greatest possible impact with the resources available to us.
Today: Our vision knows no boundaries
to develop sustainable infrastructure, provide access to clean water, and create educational opportunities that will benefit generations to come.
